Brianna Jenkins Chapter 10 Vocabulary

Axis of Symmetry- A line through a shape so that each side is a mirror image. If the shape were folded in a half along the axis of symmetry, then the two halves would be the same, they would match up.




Discriminant-  Is the name given to the expression that appears under the square root (radical) sign in the quadratic formula.



Exponential Decay- a decrease that follows an exponential function.
Exponential Growth- Growth whose rate becomes ever more rapid in proportion to the growing total number or size.
